Slummm Party...

Okay so after school Friday when the power went out my friends and I didn’t have anything to do so we just hoped on the train and set off to go anywhere. We ended up going to my mother’s job. By then I had already made plans with my best friend to go to some random tattoo partythat some girl she knew was having. So I left my mother’s job, after getting some money and telling her I was spending the night at my friend’s house. I headed to my best friend’s house. We chilled for a while but then round eight-thirty we left out. The party started at 9 and we got there finally round ten.

First we got there and it was a birthday celebration for a girl turning 16. They had everything illegal going on there and could you believe her mother was there? It was hard to breathe in that place, and you know I’m pregnant don’t need to be inhaling all that smoke. And then on top of that the tattoo person wasn’t even there. Half the people there were like 18, 19, and 20 or even older, and again her mother was there and into it just as the rest of the teenagers were. A dag on shame!

I could not believe that any parent, especially a mother who would let their daughter engage in activities like this. On top of that the party was slum it was in a small apartment that was kind of dirty and some of the people who were their looked kind of dirty. I and my friends could tell some of those girls didn’t have any type of self-pride at all, wearing and saying who knows what.

Accepted!!

So this past week I experienced what you could say a realization, which was that I wanted to go to college and that this was the week that I was gone implement my plan. Yea I did miss a few classes but by Thursday morning I had been accepted into my number one school which was Morgan State University. I was excited to especially since I had just applied Tuesday. Then on Wednesday went to an on site admission they were having, did the interview then got in. very excited I was.

Now with this very dramatic change I had in me, came alot of things that I now had to do that I hadnt got around to since for a good 5 months I didnt even plan to go to college. The personal statment I had written back in October was no where near good enough to get into a college, and yea I knew that when I was writing it, but didnt care because I didn't want to go to college anyway. I had to write a whole new one with a whole new concept and new ring to it.

So with that I said I'm happy though, not that I didn't think I would get in but more because I really wanted to get in and had waited so late to figure it out. Now the only hold up is I want to stop talking about it because if I talk about it to much, mainly because I change my mind a lot and it would be traumatic if I just up and changed my mind again and decided I didn't want to go. All that hard work wasted. Hopefully though I don't change my mind because I think I actually really want to go!

Im Up for Cheating (Critical Anyalysis)

So remember that game monopoly and how in some way or manner we always use to cheat to beat the rest of our friends and family? Well our beloved Hasbro company has unvieled another monopoly game entitled Monopoly Live. Now in my opinion they should have stop making monopoly games along time ago, yet theres like a new one every 2-3 years. This new one is now computer operated. Where they once had chance cards and a banker, there is now a computer in the middle of the board that controls mostly the whole game. It tells you when to move your pieces and how much you have to pay to rent a property out and also controls how much money you chould have and how much you really spend.

In the article A Monopoly on Cheating, it talks about how the new game is to decrease and even cease the different ways people would usually cheat in the monopoly game. Since everything is computer run you can make out the bank with more money than you are supposed to or not pay your rent on someone elses property. Its also suppose to teach children at earlier ages not to cheat and that cheating is not the only way to win in life. A life long lesson.

In my opinion the game only takes away from the learning experience of children. Makes it so that the children don't have to do the hard labor such as actually count the money themselves and add and subtract the money they should pay to someone  else. It really makes me think that computers are  taking over even in the slightest ways. Children cant even play board games, which are usually the games parents want their children to play to get away from computerized games. Now they are everywhere.

It Was A Trick!!

So as you all might know I went to go take my driving knowledge skills test today and I definitely  PASSED/FAILED . Wrong I wasn't even able to take the test because I needed to use my grandmothers license for something important and I could not because hers was EXPIRED. I was definitely very disappointed and I was really sad too. My best friend and my other friend friend were both with me and they were trying to cheer me up but it wasn't really working because I was just really upset.

I had filled out all my paper work and had all my documents and I was ready and prepared to pass that test. then all of a sudden the man said I couldn't take it because my grandmothers information wasn't up to date. so that made me really mad because I had my hopes up and I was ready and prepared to take that test and it was like she ruined it.

The sad part is I guess the reason that my grandmother couldn't come take her test with me on Saturday morning. well late Friday night she was talking bout she couldn't breathe so they called the ambulance and stuff and they took her to the hospital so that at least was a good reason as to why I couldn't handle my own. she also has to stay in there until like Wednesday or Tuesday I hope she will be okay and be able to get better so she can go take her test and even more so I can take my own.

Internet Communi.. What? (Critical Analysis)

In the article, For iPhone, almost heaven, a write talks about the moving and sharing of the iPhone to Verizon. WOW, everyone knows that iPhone made that big move in 2011. First people complain saying things like, it really took that long and its bout time, but what they don't know is that really one of the iPhones ( the one from Verizon) actually might be better than the first with AT&T. The author talks about how he did his own test on the service that both of the services (Verizon and AT&T) in highly populated and overused cities in the united states such as San Fransisco and New York. Now in my opinion I don't like either one of those, I'm more of a sprint girl myself. Whatever the case being these are the ones that were trying and undeniably Verizon had the best service in both places. This is something that most consumers know already when buying service.

There were so many people interested in just getting the iPhone for Verizon I think they missed all the changes that came along with the iPhone coming to Verizon. Things like the cost for one to even have a Verizon service plan for the iPhone its definitely way more expensive and now all of a sudden Verizon has upped their whole service almost, you cant even get a two-year upgrade anymore now its longer. Yet people already know going into having a Verizon service that Verizon is very costly but their service is just about number one. it stated that Verizon service only works in 40 other countries, and that AT&T's service works in 220 countries. there is definitely a MAJOR difference.

Yet people still don't care about those things they are still on the unbelieved fact that there is another service that has the iPhone, even with a better service. My question is though with our economy the way it is and everyone crying about how they need to save money and how they don't have money for extra things they sure are quick to spend UNNECESSARY monies on things they really could do with out? Are our citizens being hypocrites by saying what they don't have and not getting what they need.

I was Telling my Grandmother this Morning...

Okay so I was talking to my grandmother and we were discussing her getting her learners permit. Now the boring part is why she needs a learners permit in the first place. Well from what I've heard from other adults who already have full licenses, when the time comes the DMV sets up your renewal date to be on your birthday. Well at the time my grandmother was in the hospital on her birthday so she missed that chance then. Plus she did not notice that her license was expired until I told her to look at it for me. That was like the middle of January.

Then she came up with the conclusion she needed to take the learners permit knowledge test. I said well first because your over 70 you have to get your doctor to sign it saying that your health condition is well enough to drive. She thought she could do that with ease, I did not. She got the signature though, now she has to take the knowledge test then the road test. I personally don't think she is gone to pass the knowledge test, especially since I don't think she has been studying, like she should have.

I also have been trying to go, but I was kind of waiting for her but just this week I decided that I would go early Saturday morning around 7:30 because the place opens at 8:15. I don't think she will come with me(which is fine by me) but she will be mad that I went by myself and she has to wait for someone to take her. I plan to go with a group of friends, or if that doesn't turn out I dont mind having to go alone, as long as i get it done it doesn't even matter to me. i have been studying like crazy and i took the MVA tutorial online at least 4 times and each time i got a 17/20 so I hope that with the DC test it is just like that score, that i can get more than a 25/30. WISH ME LUCK!!!

I Didn't Know What the Internet was!

From what I have heard in just one class of Computer Apps 2 is that I did not know what the internet was. I was totally shocked to know that the right term is actually surfing the web, which is really surfing the world wide web. Also I learned the numerous places the websites travels that you try to pull up on your computer within seconds. Very few people are connected to the internet directly, and would you believe American students are in a way becoming dumber. Almost every other country has people that come to the United states to get a better education but in my opinion it"s and education that not even all the American students can get. As life goes its unfair.
